  • From the Session concerning the "Director of Worship"

    Valley Family,

As many of you already know, Matt Denny is moving to Louisiana. Last summer, Matt began leading our worship team as a volunteer. We are extremely grateful for his service to Valley. But his vocation has led him to take a job out of town. We are unsure of his move date, but likely during the summer.

So, we are in a period of transition. Our Session and worship team have been working hard behind the scenes. Our interim solution is James Hollis. You have probably noticed James lead worship some over recent weeks. We are preparing him for that role as Matt is preparing to move.

At the same time, we are actively searching for a permanent worship lead, a "director of worship". The worship team is our search committee. Please be in prayer for them and the Session as this search unfolds. We have already received several inquiries about the position. We are excited to see where God leads us.

  • It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Christmas season is in full swing at Valley! Here are some things to look for as we get closer to December 25...

We will have our annual Christmas Brunch on Sunday at 9:30am. Please bring a brunch-like item to share (enough for 6-8 people). Need ideas? Bagels, casseroles, donuts, fruit, sausage, bacon, eggs, sausage and egg casserole, any combination you can dream up, we will eat! In worship, our children will be singing this week...and we will have a little bluegrass feel in our music. Don't miss it!

On Christmas Eve, we will gather to worship at 5pm. The service will be 30-45 minutes long, ending with a beautiful candlelight singing of Silent Night. Hope to see you there!

Many of you have grown to love Roy and Emily Hubbard, and their sweet family. Roy has been the RUF campus pastor at Alabama A&M for the past several years. Roy has accepted a call to be an Assistant Pastor at a church in St. Louis. They could use some help packing their moving van on Saturday from 10am - 4pm. You can help in any number of ways (packing, lifting, playing with their kids, etc.). They could also use any dollies, tools, packing expertise, cheerleading, etc. They will provide some breakfast and lunch. Text Roy (769.226.2411) to let us know if you are able so that we can have an estimate on the amount of food to order and the number of people helping. Address is 3312 Buttrey Dr NW, Huntsville, AL 35810.

Any tithes or offerings sent to the office postmarked in 2015 will count towards this year's donations. The office will be open December 31 from 9am - noon if you have last minute donations to drop off.
